ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK                          Philip Glass: Neverwas (filmscore)              CD OMM0052                   £13.75
The bold, playful and fantastical film score to Neverwas possesses some of Philip Glass’s most accessible and heartfelt music. Although its starry cast featured Sir Ian McKellen, Aaron Eckhart, Nick Nolte, Brittany Murphy, Jessica Lange and William Hurt, the 2005 movie about a psychiatrist looking for answers into his father's troubled past never was a success, due in part to limited distribution, but Glass’s beautiful music certainly deserves to be widely heard.
